THE TRAVEL GIFT CERTIFICATE is a means by which family and friends can contribute towards a holiday to mark a special occasion in the life of the honoured recipient(s). The ideal gift for a ‘wedding', ‘wedding anniversary', ‘birthday', as a special ‘thank you' etc. A truly unique gift for a very special occasion. HOW DOES IT WORK? Your family and friends can contribute to the holiday by purchasing a Travel Gift Certificate from our Travel Gift Registry. Step1 . BUDGET Establish the amount you aim to raise for the holiday. Divide that by the minimum amount you wish everyone to contribute, Example: 50 certificates @ $50.00 = $2,500.00 Step 2. SET UP CONTRIBUTIONS Contact STTD (Social Times Travel Desk) to *register your event. This will include an estimate or quote for the intended trip. Order blank TGC (Travel Gift Certificate) by email Advise close off date for purchasing TGC's STTD will produce custom TGC for your approval. On approval STTD will send you the final TGC for downloading. You can print as many as you require. You can forward TGC to your family and friends and or advise family and friends to contact us by email for a certificate. Step 3 PAYMENT Cash payments to be sent as money orders to STTD. Address details below. Cheques to be sent direct to STTD. Address details below. Credit card payments can be phoned through to STTD or emailed. Please note there is a 2% service fee on all cards except Amex which is 4%. Step 4 FINALISING CONTRIBUTIONS All TGC purchases will be registered and funds held in the STTD Trust Account. Please note that STTD is a fully licensed travel agency. License No. 9TA 1052. Each fully paid TGC will receive a unique registration number that will be sent to the TGC holder and thereby validating the amount paid and held in trust. A summary of purchases will be emailed to you after closing date. Advise the recipients of the amount held in trust for their trip. Advise recipients of TGC funds to contact STTD to make their booking. WEB SITE OPTION – ONCE ONLY COST OF $150.00 You can have a special page on the STTD web site that will show the progress of contributions (without giving names of contributors) and any message(s) you wish to convey to your contributors during the course of the contribution period. If required the page can be on going at a negotiated fee. Terms & Conditions There is no cost for production of the TGC if the intended trip is booked and completed with STTD. Travel Gift Certificate payments are non refundable to the purchaser. Any unused funds from TGC purchases will be refunded to the recipients as stated on the TGC. Contributions cannot be transferred to other agents or entities outside of the entities used for the intended trip. Cancellation of intended trip will incur standard travel agency cancellation fees including: $168.00 production cost of TGC. $18.00 per individual distribution of TGC by email. Cancellation of intended trip will incur any carrier cancellation fee as applicable in the travel industry. Funds remaining after cancellation will be refunded to the recipients of the contributions as stated on the TGC. Contribution period for TGC contributions not to exceed twelve weeks. *Registering Your Event: Information required : Name(s) in which contributions are to be made. Contributions to be a fixed amount per certificate or random amounts Postal address for receipts for each gift purchaser.
